Policies
Peer Review Policy Double-Blind Peer Review is a fundamental pillar of scholarly integrity and scientific excellence in agricultural publishing. Agron TIMES employs a rigorous double-blind peer review system to ensure the originality, scientific validity, methodological soundness, relevance to agricultural practice, and clarity of all published work. Manuscripts are evaluated by independent experts in relevant fields of agricultural science—such as agronomy, soil science, crop genetics, sustainable farming, or agricultural economics—without revealing the identities of authors or reviewers. Based on reviewers’ constructive feedback, authors are expected to thoughtfully revise their manuscripts to address all technical, conceptual, and presentation-related concerns. This collaborative process significantly enhances the quality, reliability, and impact of research, ensuring that Agron TIMES upholds international standards for open-access agricultural scholarship and serves as a trusted resource for researchers, farmers, policymakers, and agri-technical professionals worldwide. Plagiarism Policy Agron TIMES defines plagiarism as the uncredited use of another person’s ideas, data, text, or findings—whether from published literature, theses, reports, or unpublished sources—including the reuse of one’s own prior work without proper citation (self-plagiarism). Submitting a manuscript that substantially duplicates previously published content, even with minor modifications or added data, is considered unethical. All submissions undergo screening using advanced plagiarism detection software. If significant plagiarism is detected at any stage—by editors, reviewers, or editorial staff—the corresponding author will be notified and required to revise the affected sections thoroughly. In cases of serious or deliberate plagiarism, the manuscript will be rejected immediately, and the author may be barred from future submissions. Agron TIMES adheres to the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and reserves the right to report confirmed cases of misconduct to the author’s institution, funding agency, or relevant professional bodies. Authors are strongly encouraged to ensure full originality and appropriate attribution in all aspects of their research and writing before submission. AI Policy Agron TIMES requires full transparency regarding the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in manuscript preparation. During submission, authors must explicitly declare—via the Copyright Agreement Form and the Online Journal Submission System (JSS)—whether any AI tools (including large language models, data analysis assistants, or text generators) were used in drafting, editing, or interpreting results. If AI assistance was used, authors must: Clearly disclose the type and extent of AI involvement, Ensure that all scientific interpretations, data analysis, and conclusions remain under human authorship and intellectual control, and Verify that AI-generated content has been critically reviewed, validated, and contextualized within the agricultural scientific framework. Manuscripts that fail to provide this declaration—or that rely on AI-generated content without scholarly oversight—may be desk-rejected. Agron TIMES affirms that the intellectual contribution, experimental design, data interpretation, and scholarly narrative must originate from the human author(s). Open Access Policy Agron TIMES is a fully open-access journal. All published articles are immediately, permanently, and freely available to read, download, share, and distribute worldwide at no cost to readers. By submitting to Agron TIMES, authors and copyright holders grant all users a free, irrevocable, worldwide, perpetual license to: Access, copy, use, distribute, transmit, and publicly display the work, Create and share derivative works (e.g., translations, educational adaptations, policy briefs), Print limited copies for personal, classroom, or extension use— provided that proper attribution is given to the original author(s) and the initial publication in Agron TIMES, in accordance with the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). This open-access model ensures that vital agricultural research reaches farmers, researchers, extension agents, policymakers, and agribusiness innovators globally—accelerating the adoption of sustainable, science-based solutions for food security and rural prosperity.
Rights and License
License All articles published in Agron TIMES are released under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). This license grants all users the right to freely access, copy, distribute, transmit, and adapt the work in any medium or format, provided that appropriate credit is given to the original author(s) and the initial publication in Agron TIMES is clearly acknowledged. This open licensing model supports the widest possible dissemination and application of agricultural research for the benefit of scientific communities, farming practitioners, educators, and policymakers worldwide. Author’s Warranties The author(s) warrant that the submitted article is an original work authored solely by the named individuals, that it has not been published previously in any form, and that it is not under consideration for publication elsewhere. The manuscript contains no unlawful, defamatory, or ethically objectionable content, and it does not infringe upon the intellectual property, privacy, or other legal rights of any third party. The author(s) confirm that they hold exclusive copyright to the work, free from any prior licensing agreements or encumbrances, and that all necessary permissions to reproduce copyrighted material—such as data, figures, tables, or extended excerpts from agricultural reports, extension publications, or datasets—have been secured and properly acknowledged within the manuscript. User Rights Agron TIMES is committed to maximizing the accessibility and utility of agricultural knowledge by publishing all content under the CC BY 4.0 license. This permits unrestricted use, sharing, and adaptation of published articles by researchers, students, agronomists, extension agents, farmers, policymakers, and industry professionals, as long as the original authorship and source are properly cited. Such open access ensures that scientific advances in crop science, soil management, sustainable farming, and related fields can be rapidly integrated into education, practice, and policy decisions across diverse agricultural contexts. Rights of Authors Authors retain full ownership of the copyright and all associated proprietary rights to their work, including potential patent rights related to innovations in agricultural technology, seed varieties, or farming methodologies. They are free to reuse the substance of their published article in future scholarly or professional endeavors, such as books, lectures, conference presentations, teaching materials, or institutional reports. Authors may also reproduce the article for personal or internal use, deposit the accepted manuscript in institutional or disciplinary repositories (self-archiving), and enter into non-exclusive distribution arrangements—such as inclusion in an edited volume or national agricultural database—provided that the original publication in Agron TIMES is clearly referenced. Co-Authorship In cases of multi-authored submissions, the Corresponding Author affirms that all co-authors have reviewed and approved the final version of the manuscript and have granted explicit authorization for the Corresponding Author to act on their behalf throughout the submission, peer review, revision, and publication processes. This includes representing the collective agreement of all contributors regarding the integrity, authorship, and copyright of the work. Royalties By submitting to Agron TIMES, authors understand and agree that this publishing arrangement does not entitle them to any royalties, financial compensation, or licensing fees. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the author(s) waive any claim to royalties arising from the reproduction, distribution, translation, or adaptation of the article by Agron TIMES, its partners, or any third parties benefiting from the journal’s open-access model under the CC BY 4.0 license. Final Publication Upon successful completion of the editorial and peer review process, Agron TIMES will publish the article in its final form. The journal reserves the right to apply minor stylistic and linguistic refinements—including adjustments to punctuation, spelling, capitalization, reference formatting, and technical terminology—to ensure consistency with international standards for scholarly communication in agricultural sciences. The published article will be made permanently and freely accessible online to readers around the world, with no subscription fees or access barriers, in alignment with the journal’s mission to advance global agricultural knowledge. Agron TIMES Members The vitality and academic credibility of Agron TIMES are sustained by its global community of volunteer scholars and agricultural experts, who serve in honorary roles as Managing Editors (Regional and Local), Editorial Board Members, and Advisory Board Members. These positions are entirely voluntary and carry no financial compensation or institutional obligation from the journal. Managing Editors are expected to actively promote the journal within their regions by encouraging high-quality submissions from agricultural researchers, universities, and research institutions, with all invited manuscripts undergoing the same rigorous peer review process overseen by the Editor-in-Chief. Editorial Board Members play a central role in safeguarding the scientific quality of the journal; after initial screening by the Editor-in-Chief and plagiarism verification by the editorial office, manuscripts are assigned to board members with relevant expertise in fields such as crop science, soil fertility, agroecology, or agricultural economics, who are expected to provide timely, constructive, and expert evaluations. Advisory Board Members contribute strategic vision by offering insights on emerging trends, thematic priorities, and opportunities to enhance the journal’s relevance to global agricultural challenges and sustainable development goals. Certification Official certificates of service are issued to Agron TIMES members only upon demonstrable and active contribution over a defined period. Managing Editors and Advisory Board Members receive certification after the successful completion of two years of service (one year in the case of Regional Managing Editors). Editorial Board Members are eligible for certification after two years of active participation, which includes completing at least two peer reviews and submitting at least one original manuscript to the journal during their tenure. All members are expected to engage meaningfully in the journal’s activities, including reviewing, promoting submissions, and participating in editorial communications. In exceptional circumstances, the Editor-in-Chief retains the authority to remove any member without prior notice if they are found to be consistently inactive, unresponsive, or in violation of the journal’s ethical standards or mission. Through this dedicated network of agricultural scholars, Agron TIMES continues to foster excellence, integrity, and global collaboration in agricultural science.
